Project Magic Australia Inc
is an innovative program that uses magic as a form of therapy for people with physical, psychological and social disabilities.
Project Magic combines the talents of professionals in the entertainment field and the medical field to provide a quality of therapeutic training for patients. It provides a different approach to traditional rehabilitation programs and techniques. Patients involved with this fun, stimulating activity experience enhanced motivation. Project Magic was developed by world-renownwed magician David Copperfield in response to repeated letter he received from an aspiring magician.
Leading Australian illusionist, Jack Daniels, became David’s representative in Australia. Jack set about introducing the concept to several hospitals and schools. Jack met Western Sydney GP and University of Sydney Nepean Medical School lecturer Dr Adrian Sheen. Adrian, a man of many talents, had an interest in magic, invited Jack to give a presentation to students at the Medical School and later at the Rehabilitation Department at Nepean Hospital.
Global Magic Shop supports Project Magic Australia by donating magic props and products to assist the working magicians with this good cause.
